I loved him so much that I put my happiness to the side. From infidelity throughout the relationship and the marriage to children outside the household. The years of betrayal led me to begin in the arms of another man. Meeting Darrius, I thought was a good pain reliever. I would ultimately find out that his motives were being sought for revenge.
Revenge is a deadly game when it comes to toxic love.
This would be my downfall later in my life. The rage that was brewing inside of me from the years of hurt and betrayal would fall over soon. I tried to let everything go but that rage is different. It was like from birth, I was cursed with being hurt by the people I loved. The other part of that was the rage built inside of me.
This Rage would cause me to lose focus on right and wrong. I felt the need to get karma for every injustice that was done to me. Spending the rest of my life behind bars would be a sacrifice to the children I left behind. The consequences of my actions for taking the lives and leaving the burden onto my kids. They were growing up without parents because of me. I know my mom is looking down from heaven saying "Savage, one day your rage and anger are going to get the best of you"
My heart was pure and wanted love, but I only accepted toxic love from the ones I loved.
